Designated a National Historic Landmark in 1973,
Florida's southernmost state park is a relaxing getaway,
boasting the best beach in romantic Key West. Here on
this picturesque beach you can enjoy scenic vistas, bask
in the sun, or recline in the shade of swaying palms,
wild sea grape trees, and tall Australian pines. You
can snorkel directly off the beach to see tropical fish
and living coral reefs. Fort Zachary Taylor is also an
important historical landmark. Completed in 1866, the
fort played an important role in both the Civil War and
Spanish-American War. |
