Planning your trip:
It is important to take the time to plan your trip in advance to
ensure that your departure, your arrival at your intended
destination, and the duration of your vacation runs as smoothly and
as flawlessly as possible.
If you are vacationing for pleasure, what do you have in mind?
Complete relaxation? Excitement and adventure? Hiking or fishing?
Fun with the family? Or is this a romantic getaway for two? Will you
be bringing your pet dog or cat along? When you travel with Cruise
Cat, you are assigned a specific Travel Specialist, an expert in the
field of travel who will be happy to personalize the details of your
trip.
Recent Changes That May Impact You
Effective January 31, 2008, all United States citizens entering the
U.S. via any land or sea port will no longer be given the option of
orally declaring their citizenship. According to Customs and Border
Protection (CBP), cruise lines will require proof of citizenship and
a government-issued form of identification prior to boarding. For
most U.S. citizens, a drivers license will suffice along with either
a passport, original (or certified copy) birth certificate, or
naturalization papers (for citizens who have been naturalized).
Although the paperwork has been previously required as an “industry
standard,” as of January 31, 2008, it will now be enforced as law.
We recommend that you check with your cruise line directly to
determine what is specifically required, because criteria do vary
among cruise lines. If you have any remaining questions regarding a
cruise that you have booked with us, please contact a
Cruise Cat
travel representative.
Passport information:
Should you require a passport for your
trip, we have included some information from the United States
government regarding passports. (Please note, passport
processing times have increased due to high volume. You may wait 3
months after applying for a passport before receiving it. Please
apply early.)
