Star Wars Weekends at the Disney Hollywood Studios

Star Wars fans of all ages and Star Wars characters of all varieties will converge to celebrate the heroes, villains and droids of the saga. Choose your destiny and journey to a "galaxy far, far away."



Each Star Wars Weekend runs Friday through Sunday and will brim with Force-filled fun for the entire family. Young Jedis definitely wont want to miss out on this opportunity to meet their favorite characters!

Come face to face with your favorite Star Wars™ heroes and villains, test your knowledge of Star Wars trivia, or take flight in Star Tours — the ultimate Star Wars thrill ride — during Star Wars Weekends at the Disney Hollywood Studios.

You've seen them on-screen, now see them in person (or in alien, as the case may be)... characters from all six Star Wars movies!

Guests never know which Star Wars character they'll find around the corner, whether it's the heroic and young Jedi Luke Skywalker, the poised and regal Queen Amidala, the furry wookiee warrior Chewbacca or the evil Sith Lords Darth Vader and Darth Maul. But expect to see over 50 Star Wars characters from the various movies in the Star Wars saga.

EVENT TICKETS:
 Admission to this event is included with valid Theme Park admission.  However, there may be some events priced separately.

For 2008, expect to see the following cool Star Wars personalities!!

Remember Wicket the cute Ewok from Return of the Jedi? He was played by the talented Warwick Davis. Mr. Davis will be participating for all 4 weeks of this special Disney event! Jeremy Bulloch (“Boba Fett”) and Daniel Logan (“Young Boba Fett”) will be participating during the first weekend of the event, June 6-8.

Some of the tallest actors in the series will be present during the second weekend: Peter Mayhew (“Chewbacca”) and David Prowse (“Darth Vader”) will be participating June 13-15.

Amy Allen (“Aayla Secura”) and Matthew Wood (who played the sinister “General Grievous”) will be available during the 3rd weekend of the event, June 20 - 22.

Dave Filoni (Director of the much anticipated upcoming Star Wars: The Clone Wars) and Jake Lloyd (“Young Anakin” from the Phantom Menace) will be participating during the final weekend of the event, June 27-29.

Star Wars™ Weekends: A Destination Not So Far Away

A fantastical tale is about to be told.  With a striking and powerful clanging of cymbals and blaring trumpets, you see the bright yellow title recede through space on the screen.  You know that you are about to embark on an adventure of a lifetime, the force of it captures your rapt attention, drawing you in.  You feel every frame of the movie, repeat every line.  Strong connections to this story have you, and only watching it you are.

Now you don’t only have to watch your favorite space saga on a digital replay.  Now you can be there, live, for an experience with the Force you will not find any where else in the universe.  And you don’t have to journey so far, far away.  This summer let your travels take you to an intergalactic gathering in a magical place at Disney Hollywood Studios near Orlando, Florida for Star Wars™ Weekends.

Enter the park and enter the movie.  The unmistakable theme music bolsters you on your journey from your first step into and throughout the park.  Enjoy meet and greet experiences with special celebrity appearances, your favorite Jedi heroes and villains, and many other characters from the Star Wars™ Saga.  Travel on an official transport in, “Star Tours – the ultimate Star Wars™ thrill ride!”  This spot is the central hub for the event located in the Backlot left corner of Disney Hollywood Studios.

Have your young Padi-Wan bring their light saber for specialized Jedi Training or a chance to confront Darth Vadar and Darth Mal and live to tell the tale.  Don’t forget to brush up on all your Jedi trivia and show off your skills in a trivia challenge.  Be prepared to meet Jedi Mickey, rummage through an entire sound stage for authentic Star Wars collectibles, and many, many other adventures.

A few insider tips would be to arrive early for any events you wish to participate in, dress in attire of your favorite characters, wear sunscreen, and drink plenty of water.  There are other attractions in the park for the family member who is not as strong in the ways of the Force.  Tempt the powers of the dark side of the Force in the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror® or Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster© and check out the show Fantasmic for an explosive ending to an impressive day.
